“The Difference” is the first release from Isaiah Toothtaker and Rape Wolf’s Rob Zombie ep due to drop in march. you already know how i feel about toothtaker videos. although this one is kind of boring, what is striking is how toothtaker’s loose flow complements la musica de Harry Fraud. there both airy and gritty all at once. im anticipating a few dope tracks off this EP.
Baauer-Harlem Shake
The love child of Brooklyn and the Internet, Baauer was born out of noise. A sound that began steeped in the 4/4 dance tradition, slowly took on hip hop tendencies until the two became one. Influenced heavily by southern hip-hop and UK bass sounds, Baauer has found himself smack dab in the middle of the electronic renaissance. He is the delectable fusion of future-crunk and leather shaken aggressively in a bottle for years and has only just opened the top to pour the mixture out.
Harlem Shake his been featured on almost every Diplo and Friends mix to date including Diplo, Brodinski, and Flosstradamus as well as being featured in Rustie’s Lastest Essential mix!

SHE’S TALKING TO ME!
Isaiah Toothtaker, The Hood Internet and Max B are Toothy Wavy. you probably haven’t heard anything like this album before — sample heavy hood internet beats laced with isaiah toothtaker’s gritty sing song rhymes as well as max b’s through-the-wire-from-the-pen-X-Rated-reminiscing-flow. cop the videos if you haven’t seen them.

isaiah toothtaker is the master of rap imagery. you know how once upon a time the clipse and three 6 mafia sucked you into their own little world every time you turned on their music? clipse made listeners feel like a mid level coke boss while three 6 turned their honda civic into a hearse and their suburban scape into a vast ghetto crypt. collaborating rappers were always absorbed and transformed too. isaiah’s aesthetic also overpowers listeners and collaborative artists. his imagery — album artwork and videos — plays an integral part to his domineering aesthetic. that’s a huge advantage in today’s media scape where almost any song has a video. don’t sleep on this az cat’s potential for indie success and influence. i wouldnt be surprised if he was directing other rapper’s videos with a budget in the years to come. i also wouldnt be surprised if he didnt give a fuck about a budget or the words “indie success and influence.”
HOLY WAFFLING TITTIES…the free album drops tuesday. if 2012 has taught us anything it’s that waffles are hip.
